Dana has completed various pediatric certifications and trainings including PROMPT and DTTC (for Childhood Apraxia of Speech), CAN-EAT Approach (for pediatric feeding disorders), Beckman Oral Motor (oral functioning difficulties) and DIRFloortime (play-based intervention) to name a few!

What We Stand For

Dana strives to help your child grow in their own ways by building upon their skills and interests. Providing child-led and strength-based methods-your child’s goals are targeted in functional and meaningful ways! Neurodiversity affirming approaches are utilized to acknowledge and embrace your child’s communication/learning differences while empowering them to expand their skills and thrive.

Dana believes that a strong and trusting child-therapist connection is key to engagement and progress. Play-based intervention is used to maximize interest and allow children to learn new skills in fun ways before generalizing them to everyday life. As a fellow parent, your child’s services will be delivered with the same level of thoughtful interactions, strategic interventions and patience that she would hope to receive for her own little one.

Communicating and eating are truly “core” to many of life’s most wonderful things-from engaging in daily interactions with peers to enjoying a meal with your loved ones.

Family Involvement

Parents and caregivers are highly encouraged to be present during therapy sessions. Active family engagement is elemental to successful intervention. Your support at home means the most! Strategies and caregiver training provided each session will help you feel confident with utilizing therapy strategies in functional (and fun) ways in your child’s everyday environments. This is how carryover of skills happens outside of the therapy room!
