Evaluation and Treatment Services

What does this process look like?

  1. After providing information about your child’s difficulties, we decide if an evaluation is warranted at this time.

    2. Schedule the evaluation.

    3. A comprehensive evaluation will be planned and completed in order to identify your child’s current skills/challenges and determine if therapy is recommended.

    4. You will receive a detailed evaluation report and treatment plan including carefully selected, functional goals and service frequency recommendations.

    5. You are then able to schedule your child’s sessions at a time that works best for you!

  • Pediatric feeding disorders related to oral functioning, sensory and behavioral challenges 

  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech

  • Articulation and phonological disorders 

  • Expressive language disorders

  • Receptive language disorders

  • Pragmatic (social) communication disorders

  • Language delays/“late talkers”

  • Tethered oral tissues (tongue/lip ties) and oral functioning issues related to these, pre and post frenectomy therapy (tongue/lip tie release) 

  • Executive functioning and cognitive difficulties related to various developmental disorders (ASD, Down Syndrome, etc.)

  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

  • Fluency (Stuttering) disorders 

  • Auditory Processing disorder 

  • Literacy (phonological awareness, Dyslexia, etc.)

Fees and Other Information

-Therapy Session: (30 Minutes): $85

-Speech Evaluation- Articulation and Fluency (1 hour): $350

-Speech & language or Feeding Evaluation (1 to 1.5 hours): $425

At this time, Core Speech is not in network with any insurance companies. However, a superbill (like a receipt/invoice) will be created and sent to you. You may submit this to your insurance company to request reimbursement. This is a simple process and many insurances allow for easy online submission of superbills. Please ensure that you contact your insurance to confirm that speech therapy evaluation and treatment services are covered.
